BSW Partner Implements an IP Surveillance for the Narayana Hrudyalaya Hospital, Bangalore India
The Narayana Hrudyalaya Hospital located in Bangalore, India, is world-renowned for being one of the world’s largest pediatric heart hospitals. It receives patients from all around the world and has performed over 15,000 successful surgeries in it’s lifetime. It is also a world-leader in telemedicine, and is also known for being more efficient than nearly any other hospital in the country, and even in the world.
BSW Soft is in the process of establishing an effectual and first-rate surveillance system in Pricol’s headquarters in Coimbatore, India. The purpose of this task is to install an effective system of monitoring their employee activity and the well-being of their facility. To this end, BSW has implemented a custom solution involving the use of 70 ACTi cameras to be installed in and around the facility, providing security and a watchful eye over Pricol’s factory 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The IP surveillance solution that has been provided allows the management with the ability to view and manage operations across the factory on a 24x7 basis.
The hospital was in need of a enterprise level security solution for their facility to ensure the safety and well-being of their patients. Hospital security wanted to be able to monitor the large hospital premises so as to respond to incidents in a quicker and efficient way. The objective was also to analyze incidents and learn from them so that they could be avoided in future. For this task, BSW Soft was consulted by Automation Systems and Services, Bangalore to assist in the design and implementation of a surveillance system for the hospital.
To meet this end, 49 ACTi cameras were installed. Cameras were installed both inside and outside the hospital to effectively watch over the entire facility (fixed indoor ACM 4000, fixed outdoor ACM 1231, PTZ outdoor ACM 8511 with IP-66 housing).The ACM 4000 cameras have been placed within different areas of the hospital thereby maintaining and increasing the professionalism exhibited by the staff in maintaining the well-being of the patients, and hence increasing the operational efficiency. The ACM-1231 camera - which is a IP-66 certified outdoor camera - has been installed at the hospital outside perimeter to make sure there is constant surveillance at all hours of the day. Access to cameras that are outside have been assigned also to the security agency, while the management can make different users and allot certain cameras to only certain user groups.
